About Me
Hello I’m Teresa,
I’m a mother to four wonderful adult children, three who I gave birth to and one who we adopted into our family. My children are wonderfully diverse and they each celebrate life with their different challenges – deafness, dyslexia, autism and ADHD. In our family we embrace and celebrate differences!
I am a trained SEN teacher and I have worked with children and young people with a wide range of medical, emotional, behavioural and educational difficulties. I am also a trauma informed foster carer with many, many years experience of caring for young people with special needs. I believe in the intrinsic value of human life. I think you can see that children and family are central to my life.
I always knew, from a very young age, that I wanted to be a mother. One of my favourite childhood games was adopting children from a make-believe orphanage! I felt that I was born to be a mother and I was thrilled to have the privilege of being both a birth mother and an adoptive / foster mum. I also had 3 fantastic, positive, natural birth experiences. One in a hospital and two home births. One of my babies was born at home without a midwife!
As a young child I experienced significant childhood trauma which continued to have a profound effect on my life and relationships into adulthood. My own traumatic experiences led me to embark on a long personal journey to find healing and wholeness. Although I had an excellent psychotherapist I was aware that the deepest root cause of my issues were yet to be uncovered and healed. One day, after suffering a traumatic loss and a bereavement, I was in a state of deep pain and complete despair. At this point I happened to come across a podcast by a therapist called Marisa Peer. (I had never heard of her!)
When I heard Marisa talk about her method of Rapid Transformational Therapy I just knew that I had found the answer to healing my own brokenness and giving me hope for a radically different future. From that moment on I believed my life was going to be transformed. After listening to the podcast I set off in search of a Rapid Transformational Therapist who could help me with my own problems and difficulties.
Following my own life changing RTT session I then knew that I had to train as a Rapid Transformational Therapist myself so that I could bring the same freedom, healing and wholeness to others. In June 2019 I had the privilege of being personally trained by Marisa Peer as a Certified Hypnotherapist. I continued with my training and my professional development and in March 2022 I was awarded Clinical Hypnotherapist status.
I worked successfully with a range of clients on a variety of different issues. I was then approached by a lady who had suffered two miscarriages. She was pregnant again but she was distressed, highly anxious and absolutely terrified of loosing this baby. I felt incredibly honoured to have the privilege of supporting her to acknowledge and then to release her fears. With my ongoing support she was able to make a profound connection with her unborn child and experience a wonderfully happy and enjoyable pregnancy.
Whilst supporting her through her pregnancy I felt a deep sense of having ‘come home.’ I knew that I had found my therapeutic calling – To be able to help other women to experience the incredible joy of motherhood.
My heart’s desire truly is to help women to conceive, to support them through their pregnancy and to empower them to have a positive birth experience.
I honestly understand how vulnerable and fragile you may feel but I promise to offer you a confidential service designed to meet your specific needs.
I am really looking forward to hearing from you. Together we will go on an amazing journey to motherhood. Your heart’s desire really is available to you. x
